Adding your Shopify store

Integrating a Shopify store into Flicket enhances revenue, brand presence and customer experience by offering post-checkout upsell opportunities and seamless access to merchandise.

Why should I add my store?

  • Increase Revenue with Upsells: Displaying Shopify store products post-checkout provides an opportunity to upsell merchandise or event-related items directly to customers when they’re already engaged. This increases overall revenue and leverages existing customer purchase momentum.

  • Cross-Promotional Opportunities: Highlighting merchandise in emails and navigation allows promoters to cross-promote items like exclusive merch, add-ons, or experiences, maximizing exposure and driving additional sales.

  • Enhanced Personalization: You can customize the upsell and email content based on event-specific products, targeting customers with highly relevant offers that align with their interests or purchases, increasing conversion rates.

 


 

Before you begin, it is important to note:

  • Your Account Manager will need to enable the new Shopify feature for your organisation.
  • You can only set up one Shopify store per organisation, regardless if you have different event types in your organisation. 
  • When you set this up under your organisation settings, it will appear in the confirmation page post-purchase for all events and all memberships. If you wish to only set this up for one of your events but not all events, see instructions here
  • Shopify products with variations (e.g. sizes S, M, L, XL, etc) will appear as one product in Flicket's post-purchase confirmation page.
    • If one or more of the variations are sold out, the product will still be available if you wish to feature this in your post-purchase confirmation page.
    • If all of the variations are sold out, the product will appear with "Sold Out". It is at your discretion to remove the product, it will not be removed in Flicket automatically.

Adding your Shopify store to your Organisation

  1. Go to your organisation Settings > Integrations.

  2. Scroll down to E-commerce and select Shopify > Connect with Shopify.

  3. Enter your Shopify store URL and select Next.

  4. Enter the link name that appears in the main navigation, e.g. "Merchandise", "Apparel"

    What does the main navigation look like?

    The link name will appear in the main navigation when a purchaser lands on your ticketing website. The link will redirect them to your Shopify store.

  5. Enable Default product recommendations and select the products that you want to promote on the post-purchase (confirmation page after payment) page for all purchases across events and memberships.

    What does the post-purchase confirmation page look like with merchandise?

    You can select as many products as you want, however it will appear like this on the post-purchase/confirmation screen after making payment.

  6. Select Save.

Upsell merchandise post-purchase with General Admission Events

To upsell a different set of products per event, you will need to go into the specific Event to set this up.

  1. Go to your Event and scroll down to Advance Settings > Checkout.

  2. Enable Customise product recommendations and select the products that you want to promote on the post-purchase (confirmation page after payment) page for your event.

  3. Select Save changes.


Upsell merchandise post-purchase with Reserved Seated Events

  1. Go to your Event and scroll down to Configuration.

  2. Enable Customise product recommendations and select the products that you want to promote on the post-purchase (confirmation page after payment) page for your event.

  3. Select Save changes.



Upsell merchandise post-purchase with Memberships / Season Pass / Multi-day Pass

To upsell a different set of products per membership, you will need to go into the specific Membership to set this up.

  1. Go to your Membership and scroll down to Configuration.

  2. Enable Customise product recommendations and select the products that you want to promote on the post-purchase (confirmation page after payment) page.

  3. Select Save changes.

 


 

I don't want the products to appear for all events. How do I set this up for a specific event only?

  1. You will need to add your Shopify store URL in Settings > Integrations.

  4. Ensure both toggles are disabled and select Save.

  5. Next, go to the Event and follow these steps:
    1. General Admission Events
    2. Reserved Seated Events

 

I don't want the products to appear for all events. How do I set this up for a specific event only?

I've changed a price on one of my products, will this change appear in Flicket straightaway?

No. It will take about 3 hours to sync with your Shopify store for any product image, title or pricing changes. 

If you would like the changes to be instant, we recommend that you re-add the product in Flicket to reflect the changes immediately. 

 


 

Is Shopify reporting available in Flicket, and can I reference merchandise orders in Flicket?

Currently, Shopify reporting is not available in Flicket. When a ticket buyer purchases merchandise, the transaction occurs directly within the Shopify store. As a result, buyers receive a separate order confirmation email from Shopify.

All inventory management, order fulfillment, and delivery of physical goods (including management of physical goods tax) are handled entirely through Shopify. Flicket’s role is limited to enabling upsell opportunities for merchandise during the ticket purchase process. Since Shopify specializes in retail management and offers a robust set of features, these functions are managed exclusively within their platform.
