Competitions tool

Run a competition to drive higher ticket sales conversions, generate excitement, and boost engagement with your event.

Please note, you can create a competition that is tied to an event.

There are two ways to create a competition:

  1. At registration
  2. During an on-sale

Registration competition

Registration competitions can be run to create hype and drive engagement to an event before tickets are on sale. Encourage fans to share the event on their social media platforms to invite their friends to register as well. Offer them the opportunity to win a prize as a reward for spreading the word.

How to run a registration competition:

1. Make sure registration is turned on for the event. To do this the ticket sale start date must be in the future and the registration form turned on from the advanced settings.

2. Navigate to the promotions tab in event setup and scroll down to the Competitions section and click Create competition.

3. You will be presented with a form to enter details about the competition. To start off, specify that the competition will be run when registration is open.

note: you can only run one competition when registration is open and one competition when tickets are on sale.

4. Give your competition a start and end time. This will be the date range when fans are eligible to enter the competition by registering.

5. Give your competition a headline, description and terms and conditions. These are additional information fields to provide your fans more details about the competition. Select Save and continue to proceed to the next tab.

6. The Prizes tab allows you to specify information about the prize(s) for your competition. Give your prize a title, description and an image. The prize information will appear on your event page.

7. You can also specify the number to give away or you can leave it as 1 as the default. An example of this could be 3 tickets to give away but you want to draw 3 different winners. You can also add as many additional prizes as you want. An example of this would be having 3 different prizes - a gold, silver and bronze prize package. Select Save and continue to proceed to the next tab.

8. The Promoters tab allows the fan to share this competition with their friends to gain extra entries. You can set the number of entries each action is worth and which actions fans will see.
