Invoicing as a Payment Method

Different ways to invoice customers through the Flicket platform and how to reconcile these payments.

If you want to provide invoices as a payment option for your customers, there are two methods you can choose from.

1) Generate a flicket invoice

  • When an order is put on hold, the system will automatically generate the invoice and send it to the customer via email.
  • You will need to outline your bank account details on the invoice for the customer to pay directly to your bank account.
  • Once they have paid their invoice, you will then need to go back into the system, complete the customer's order and send them their tickets.

2) Generate invoices through Xero integration

  • If you have an existing Xero account, you can integrate this into Flicket.
  • Once the integration is setup, when you put an order on hold, this will automatically generate an invoice in your xero account.
Depending on your settings, this can automatically be sent to the customer or you can chose to approve the draft invoice and manually send this to the customer.
  • After the customer has made their payment, update the invoice status to "paid" in your Xero account.
  • This action will then trigger the completion of the order in Flicket, sending the customer their order confirmation.

Flicket Invoicing

To setup flicket invoicing, you need to add your payment details (bank account number, reference and due by date) to the invoice.

To do so, add 'instructions for payment by invoice' to your event in the event details tab.

Once you have set this up, on the payment page of an order, when you select 'Create hold order (unpaid)' this will generate a Flicket invoice with your payment instructions attached. Select 'Send hold order invoice to customer' to send the invoice straight to the customer.

If you need to re-download or resend the customers invoice, you can do so by going back into their order, selecting more options, then 'Download order invoice'

Xero Invoicing

To setup xero invoicing, you must first integrate your xero account into flicket.

Once the integration is setup, when an order is put on hold a new invoice will automatically be created in your Xero account. You can then review the invoice and send it to the customer.

If you go back into the customers order, there will be a button where you can 'view invoice in xero'

After the customer pays, simply mark the invoice as paid in Xero. This action will then trigger the completion of the order in Flicket, sending the customer their order confirmation.
