Points Packages Overview
Points Packages let organisations sell prepaid credit to customers at a discounted rate. Customers can then use those points to purchase tickets and eligible add-ons across your events.
What are points?
Points act as a currency within your organisation on the Flicket platform.
- Points are stored in a customer’s Flicket account
- Points can be used to pay for tickets and other eligible products
- The value of points is defined by your organisation
For example:
- 1 point = $1 (based on your organisation’s currency)
You can think of points as a prepaid credit system that customers can spend across your events.
Why sell points packages?
Points packages provide several benefits over traditional memberships or season passes.
For your organisation
- Receive revenue upfront
- Improve cash flow and revenue forecasting
- Encourage repeat attendance across multiple events
- Reduce reliance on refunds (points are non-refundable by default)
For customers
- Flexible alternative to memberships
- No obligation to attend specific events
- Ability to spend points across multiple events
- Option to buy tickets for friends or family
- Freedom to spend all points on one event or spread them out
What can customers use points for?
Customers can use points to:
- Purchase tickets to eligible events
- Purchase tickets for other people
- Combine points with other payment methods if they don’t have enough points
Event organisers control which events accept points.
