Setting up Dynamic Tiers
Dynamic tiers are designed to help maximize revenue and create urgency for ticket sales. With this feature, you can set multiple price points for the same ticket type, and Flicket will automatically move customers into the next tier as tickets sell out.
How does it work?
With Dynamic tiers, you can create multiple price points for any General Admission event. Simply set the starting price, the incremental price increases, and the volume for the ticket type, and the Flicket Tier generator does the rest.
- Customers always see the best available price.
- As each tier sells out or the required tickets exceed the available quantity in a tier, the next price point is automatically applied.
- No manual updates are needed; Flicket handles everything automatically.
How to set up Dynamic tiers
- To create a tier for a General Admission event, go to the ‘Events tab’, select your event, and navigate to ‘Tickets’.
- Select ‘Add ticket’.
- Enter the ‘Ticket name’, then select ‘Add dynamic tiers’.

- Using the tier generator, enter the ‘Number of tiers’, ‘Starting ticket price’, ‘Price increase per tier’ and ‘Total quantity of tickets’ for this ticket type.

If ‘Show custom tier names’ is enabled, the tier names will be visible to customers on the checkout flow, e.g. Early Bird, Tier 1, Last Release. To hide the tier names, disable ‘Show custom tier names’. - Select ‘Generate tiers’. From here edit or remove tiers, update the ‘Tier Name’, add a ‘Price’, and ‘Quantity’. Once the tiers are finalized, click ‘Apply tiers to ticket’ to save changes.

- Next, add your ‘Booking fee’, ‘Images’, and ‘Ticket description’ if required, and then select ‘Save ticket’.

To create a stronger sense of urgency and drive customers to make faster purchase decisions, enable the ‘High Demand’ badge from the ‘Advanced settings’.

How to edit tiers
Pricing tiers can be edited even after an event is published. However, if any tickets within a tier have already been purchased, the ticket price for that tier cannot be changed, and the tier can not be deleted. It can be marked as sold out.
- To update a tier, go to ‘Tickets’, scroll down to the ‘Ticket Type’ and select ‘Edit ticket’ from the dropdown menu.

- From the ‘Edit ticket’ screen, select the dropdown menu, then ‘Edit tiers’. You can delete tiers or update a tier’s price, provided no tickets have been sold within that tier.

How to mark a tier as sold out
If demand is high and you’ve allocated too many tickets to a lower-priced tier, consider closing that tier early to move customers into the next price level. In Flicket, you can do this manually by marking the tier as sold out.
- Go to ‘Tickets’, and scroll down to the ticket type you want to update.
- Click the dropdown arrow to the left of the ticket type to expand and view all tiers.
- Locate the tier you want to mark as sold out. On the right-hand side, open the dropdown menu and select ‘Mark as sold out’. Customers will now be directed to the next higher-priced tier when purchasing tickets. Any customers who already have tickets from the sold-out tier in their checkout can continue with their purchase. Tickets will remain in the checkout for 3 minutes.

-
You can choose to show or hide the price for tickets marked as sold out from the advanced settings and selecting 'Show price' or 'Hide Price'.

Tracking dynamic tier sales and reporting
You can monitor the performance of tiers and access detailed reporting to understand sales trends. This helps you see which tiers are most popular, how pricing impacts demand, and provides insights to optimise pricing strategies for future events.
Sales report
The dashboard provides an overview of total sales and a consolidated view of tier sales, including total revenue, fees per ticket type, and the number of tickets sold versus capacity. To dive deeper into sales by pricing tier, you will need to download the Ticket Type report.
Ticket type report
The Ticket Type report is a downloadable CSV that provides a detailed breakdown of ticket sales by tier, helping you analyze performance and track sales across different pricing levels.
Settlement report
The settlement report is a downloadable CSV file that provides a detailed breakdown of financial information, including payments, fees, items sold, and sales channels. Pricing tiers will be split out in this report.
